Things

An object that one need not, cannot, or does not wish to give a specific name to
a material object without life or consciousness
a matter of concern
An entity, an idea, or a quality perceived, known, or thought to have its own existence
the real or concrete substance of an entity
An object you can't remember
or creature that is not or cannot be specifically designated or precisely described
whatever that is or may become an object of thought
one's interest
(matters)

Give up questioning the world
Accept that there are choices and there are non-choices
Things happen whether awake or asleep
It moves in everyone
Through everyone
Can’t keep things in a grip tight
Can’t pretend that it’s the same
Crazy on the path to Bates’ Hotel
Accept the things that leave
Give up asking why

Perspective

A minor death before walking in
Giving up the fear that they will be there
Giving up the idea that it’s not my place
Not my right to be (here)
Getting small
Hiding by not looking

Closed eyes, half smiling
            Clinched, flinching wrists

The obstacle invisible
The triumph slight
Release and respect
Remembering to be somber
Not to smile too wide
Not to be glad
Be indifferent
(Be here.)
